F.I.T Africa supported the Social and Resource Department Fund (SARD Fund) within the Department of Finance of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) in conducting a rapid assessment aimed at strengthening donor-supported program management. By spearheading the assessment process, we engaged key stakeholders from CTA, implementing departments, and the donor community, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of its institutional capacity. Our strategic efforts guided the review of program design, financial management, monitoring and evaluation, and donor coordination processes, leading to the identification of critical gaps and opportunities. The culmination of this work was the development of strategies to codify and institutionalise standard operating procedures, enhancing SARD’s capability to secure and manage direct funding from major donors like USAID, ultimately supporting the sustainable development of the Tibetan community.

Technical Support and Event Design: How Young People Survive Without Jobs and Informal Sector Roundtable

FIT Africa played a pivotal role in helping to orchestrate a thought-provoking roundtable discussion on Nigeria’s youth unemployment crisis themed: Navigating youth unemployment in Nigeria and paving the pathway for change. Our efforts ensured the attendance of high-profile guests and secured the commitment of seasoned panelists and facilitators. Through strategic guidance, we helped guide the direction of the panel and breakout sessions, leading to actionable insights. The culmination of our work was a comprehensive event report that catalyzed meaningful progress in addressing this pressing socio-economic issue, driving tangible outcomes and positive change.

Capacity Building and Program Design: Thrive Agric

  • We facilitated the enhancement of the organization’s capacity to identify, attract, and secure grant funding by guiding the team from their current knowledge level to the desired outcome. Over a 3-month period, we provided personalized off-site coaching support to key internal staff, aiding them in identifying, mapping, and maximizing grant opportunities. Additionally, we conducted thorough training needs validation and tailored the plan accordingly, emphasizing crucial skills such as Program Design Methodology, Systems Thinking, Effective Results Framework Design, and understanding Winning Grant Components. As a testament to our collaborative effort in program design, the organization has successfully secured a grant.

Team Retreat and Capacity Building: Royal Iwere Foundation

  • Conducted tailored training and facilitated team retreat focusing on fundraising strategies, partnership development, and optimal funder mapping for maximal impact. Furthermore, provided guidance on essential themes such as theory of change and logical frameworks during interactive sessions model

Program Design, Partnership Development, and Impact Evaluations: TRACE

Implemented strategies to expand service offerings to new clients, particularly in the development sector, and drive sales growth. Utilised their existing competencies to position them as a preferred vendor.Focused on longer-term partnership building, positioning them as a media-for-good company and a trusted partner for sustainable development initiatives.Resulted in refined sales approaches, deeper understanding of the social sector nuances, and comprehensive auditing of core competencies to drive sustained success.

Capacity Building: BIC

Facilitated the empowerment of over 150 educators across primary and secondary schools, igniting a transformation in their teaching approach. By equipping them with innovative methodologies and best practices, we instilled a shift towards hands-on learning experiences. Through our sessions, educators actively engaged in group work, role plays, and case studies, fostering experiential learning tailored to diverse learning styles (VAK model). Teachers are now better prepared to cultivate future-ready students, equipped with the necessary skills and mindset for success in the 21st century.
